Logan To California

Its official. Drew's Parents moved to California.
It was a super sad day saying goodbye to them. But it was sure fun being in California all together.

Drew and Adam started up a business and moved their Parents to the "west side". It was a lot of work for them but it was a great opportunity. After everything was all boxed up and loaded into 2 large trucks (about 2 weeks worth of work) we were off.

Annie didn't seem to mind the first 8 hours of driving. We kept her distracted with toys and treats. However, our moving truck was having some serious transmission issues. What would have taken us 10-11 hours to get there ended up being a 19 hour drive. Annie was about ready to pull her and my hair out. It was quite a long drive. Once we got in our hotel room in Auburn I seriously was so excited to stretch and crawl into bed.

When we woke up, we drove about 20 minutes into a town called Loomis, where Craig and Mona are renting a home. The house they rented is super cute and pretty homie. It took us all day Friday to get everything moved in.

The next day we went to San Francisco. I now have a new love for that city. The first day we went to the famous Pier 49 and ate clam chowder and some fried shrimp. It was nothing short of amazing.

On Sunday we went to Union Square. Ok where has that place been all my life. Some of the best shopping places and some really good food joints. I was pretty much in heaven. Mona and I were talking that when Annie gets older we will have a ton of fun shopping at the square. After the Square we all went on a Segway tour and that was hilarious. I had so much fun on those machines. For me that was definitely the highlight of the trip.

Also on Sunday we went and saw these Mosiac tile steps. It was amazing. I guess the community got together and made this peice of art. One of the coolest things i have ever seen!

That same day Craig drove me to the house that Full House was filmed in. I was in Heaven! It was a pure tourist moment and I didn't care one bit.

On our way to the Airport we stopped at the beach. The ocean is definitely a little bit of heaven. Something about the waves crashing, and that salty air all around makes me never want to leave. Annie loved it too. She was all about the sand and putting her little feet in the water. Drew is such a good Dad, he wanted her to experience everything from racing the waves, to throwing rocks into the water. How did I get so lucky?

After the Beach we were dropped off at the airport. It was a super sad thing to say goodbye to Drew's parents. It will be hard not to run up to their house on cliffside just to say hi. Or bring a pepsi to Mona's so I had someone to drink some caffeine with. I sure am blessed with such good inlaws. The thing that doesn't make it so hard is I know that we can visit lots and they can come visit us lots too. California Dreamin' is what we will be doing for a month or two.

In September we got some family pictures done with Drew's side of the family. They turned out so cute! I am in love with them.

A Dinner with my Besties

My friend Camie put together a time for all of us High School girls to get together with our husbands. There is just something about friends who you may have not seen for a year, but when you get together it is like you have been together every day. All of my friends from high school are like this. We just all get along. We have all taken different paths and different lives but when we get together nothing has changed. We love each other and it is so much fun to see each other again.

We met at Ruby's Diner. It was super good food and even better company. Annie came along with me and Drew and she was the life of the party. She just loves attention!

My girls! We missed Erin and Emma this time but you better believe we will get together next time. Emma lives in LA, California and Erin lives in TEXAS.

Fishing the Green

We just got back from the Green River and had a blast. I was super nervous to go down the river with Annie, even though the river is really calm. However Annie did just fine even though her life jacket bugged her the entire time.

The original plan was for me to go down the river once or twice and then maybe drive to Vernal to change it up a bit for Annie. Well everyday got better with Annie I just kept going everyday until the trip was over. I don't know if I became more relaxed or if Annie got a little more used to life on the river.

Annie enjoyed the water so much. She would get all upset when you took her little feet out of it. We all couldn't believe it because the water was freezing.

Adam brought his cute friend Camie with us this year. She is a total Gem.

This year was probably one of the best years for dry flying. Drew was in heaven. May I also say that i caught my first fish on a dry this year. I was pretty proud. Fly fishing is way fun. I can see why Drew loves it so much.

Kind of a cool photo.

Annie got a bath with a view. Man what a life!
