Christmas is here!

Love this time of year! Yesterday we had our annual candy making party. Let me just tell you that i probably ate a years worth of sugar. We get to learn so much about candy making including how to temper chocolate, which was totally new to me. Plus it snowed all day so it made the whole day perfect!

Vegas...Vegas... Vegas

Well i guess i can't say I've never been to Vegas! This last weekend Drew and I went to Vegas for a mini vacation! Man that place is crazy! We had a ton of fun. We stayed in the stratosphere and it was hilarious all the crazy people who just hang around and gamble all day! Drew and I played the Slots and Drew won 30 dollars!

I had no idea what was going on the whole time. I stopped playing the slots after the first time. I put 5 dollars in and i left 5 dollars short. It wasn't that awesome. WAY overated!

We got way tired while shopping so we put a dollar in the machine and got a 3 minute massage! It probably was the best three minutes of the day.

Yes we dare! It was one of the most hilarious roller coasters of all time! I have never wanted to get off a roller coaster so bad in my life! WAY SCARY!

Went to an aquarium and saw some neat sharks! They are scary looking creatures, I'll tell you what!

Tiger fish-- My camera has a aquarium button to take pictures with and it took amazing pictures through the glass!

Yep! Got a makeover by Ashley! (the girl that came with us!) I was putting on my jeans and a plain t-shirt when she asked if i wanted to try this outfit on! What do ya think! haha

The day ended with a amazing water show at the Bellagio!!!!! I could of stayed there all night watching and listening to the good music!

Back HOME!!!!

We are so happy to be back home in Logan. Alaska was such a blast and we miss it a lot now we are gone. However, we are excited to be back in the thin mountain air and be around family once again. A lot has happened since we have left. My sister Estee had her baby boy, and named it Cooper. He is so cute! It i hard for me to be around him because it make me want one too! Also when we got home, Dee and Andrea's little girl had changed so much in just 4 months i couldn't believe it!

This weekend was labor day weekend and we have had a blast with the fam. Estee's baby was blessed on Sunday, and we all went to her house for lunch. We got some fun pictures of Sam and his little brother. We are going camping tonight which will be fun because we didn't bring a tent with us to Alaska so I'm so excited to sleep outside.

Well I don't know if any of you have heard (probably have) about my ring... or should i say rings! I have had a total of 3 wedding rings (well 4) in my 2 years of marriage. Can you believe that! So finally with the 4 problems that we have had, Drew went into the store where we got our ring and he said we want our money back. So looks like we are going ring shopping once again! Kinda fun? Or Kinda sad? I would love to have the ring that i got married in because it would have a lot more meaning but it will be fun too to start over i guess to. I never though a ring could cause so many frustrations!

As of right now we are still living in my parents house until the apartment we are renting gets the new carpet in. It been fun to have a tramp and a big screen TV! But we are excited to move all of our stuff into an apartment and see it again. Everything is still in boxes and i have worn the same 8 outfits all summer long!

BIG FISH!!!

Well Drew caught a KING! Pretty much the biggest salmon that i have ever laid eyes on! It was so awesome! The first fish of the season and it was 40 lbs! I'm pretty sure Drew is in heaven with all the fishing that you can do here.

Drew also got a really nice silver salmon that day too. I still thought it was huge!!!I had a hard time holding it as you can see!

This is Drew when he caught his Ivory white King Salmon. That was by far my favorite to eat.
Rick and Drew picked some Salmon berries on Sunday. We made the best cobbler ever out of those beautiful berries! I love all the colors so i had to add in this post.

I think we've landed in Paradise

A couple of days ago we all jumped in cars and head to our Friend Cheyene's house. Her house was amazing because her back yard was the ocean and you get an amazing view of the sunset. I was a perfect day to watch the sunset. Not only was the sky amazing, but eagles were fishing right by us! They were literally only 20 feet away from us scooping up fish from the ocean! I had never in my life seen anything like it.

One again Drew was my model while I took pictures. I was directing his hand around the sun but it was so bright I couldn't see it myself. So when we looked at the picture it was a little off of where it needed to be but hey it still looks pretty sweet.
Ok P.S... does anyone know how to get some people as friends when they are "for invited friends only?" Do i just need to contact them or can i leave a little message on their blog? I'm so confused! Basically Erin or Ashley if you see this I got your messages, but i want to write and say hi and see your pics... but i'm lost! haha

Knudson Cove

This past week we all rented a skiff at Knudson Cove and headed off the a Island that has a really nice beach to play on. The Island was called Tatoosh Island. We made a fire and had fun lifting up rocks and finding crabs and oysters.
Drew is really big into the show Man vs. Wild on the Discovery Channel. So every time we go out into some wilderness area we always have to try a new and crazy thing. Here at the beach we gathered oysters and cooked them in the fire and they honestly were pretty tasty!
We had to take a few trips back with all the people that we had with us. We were the last ones to go back to the cars. While we were waiting there were about 10 porpoises that came right up the shore next to us! I was so excited!

Flying High to the Misty Fjords

Drew and I got off work early a couple of days ago so we decided we would try to get on a free tour that we could get from working for Holland America. So one of our managers helped us get on a float plane and we were able to go flying to the Misty Fjords. It was one of the most amazing things i have ever done in my life. Drew and Me were laughing and looking at each other the whole time we were taking off! We couldn't hear anything because we had the earphones on. But we kept making each other laugh which was probably a good thing because to be honest i was pretty nervous.
My personal favorite part of the whole trip was when we got to land up in Misty Fjords. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. There were waterfalls everywhere!

Here are some pictures from the window of the plane.

This was the biggest waterfall i have ever seen in my life! I couldn't fit it all on the screen of my camera!
When we were taking off i saw this tug boat taking this house over by Ward Cove. I thought it was pretty sweet. The people who log will live in these homes and then they can take their homes with them when they go to different areas to work. Pretty sweet eh?
