21 Weeks

I honestly cannot believe that I'm already over the half way mark in my pregnancy! After I got my gallbladder out I can honestly say that i haven't felt this good for a whole year. Now i am feeling better I do not mind at all being pregnant. Pretty sure that attitude will change after about 3 more months... but maybe not. The belly is getting pretty stretched!

So about 4 weeks ago we found out that out little bundle of joy is a GIRL! Let me just tell you I was sooooo surprised. I really thought we were having a boy and was pretty much convinced. When the ultrasound tech said "do you know what that is?" i just turned my head and stared for a minute and I was like i have no idea. He just laughed and said that is because there isn't "anything" there, ITS A GIRL. I just looked at drew and grabbed his hand and squeezed! I am pretty sure we were both shocked, and super excited. Tears just started to well up in my eyes when I saw our little girl. What a blessing she already is in our lives!

After the ultra sound was over and we walked into the hallway Drew grabbed the wall. I looked at him and he was breathing pretty hard. I asked him what was wrong and he just looked up to me and said, "a girl?". haha he is going to be such a good dad. I know he will spoiler her and treat her like a princess cause he is just as sweet to me.

So for my record I will just keep going on on.....

Cravings: they have left! At the beginning i loved citrus. Anything orange, lemon, or lime made life so much better. I hated meat of all types and I couldn't even think about pesto. Now however i'm a lot back to normal but i am hungry a lot!

Movement: She is a mover! At first i could only feel her when i laid down on the couch or bed (so believe me i was laying down every chance i could get to feel that little flutter). Then it started more before i went to bed. Now she is just a movin' all day long. I just freaking love her.

Biggness: Big is how i feel! I just feel like I'm a wobble wobble and just kind of move around all day. Push me down, and my belly would just bounce me back up. I will post a picture but i'm not on my computer to grab it so.... picture to come.

Whats New with me and Drew?

Summer is here! Drew is loving having a break from school, and I love that we can spend the weekends together without school in the way. We have gone on a couple of trips. Green River to fish, and the moab to jeep! It was a break away and it was just what we needed. Drew is working away on cars for fun... and I am getting into a domestic side and have started to sew... believe me that is a change!

Until next time.

Baby Addley Makes an Appearance

Seeing our baby today was a experience I never will forget. I am not going to lie I was pretty nervous for my first appointment at the doctor. Just not knowing is a pretty scary thing. This whole issue with my Gallbladder has made me a little nervous with everything, but Baby Addley looks Healthy and that is a huge blessing! The due date was also offical, October 19th!
Today was such an amazing experience! I will never forget the moment when we saw our first child moving around in my stomach! Pretty good picture too eh?

Gallstones and BIG news....

If you have been around me for the past year I am sure you know that I have had some major stomach problems. First, I thought it was and ulcer in Jan. 2011 so I got prescribed some anti-acids for about 6 months, but they were not helping. I got a scope done in the fall of 2011 and it showed nothing wrong with my stomach. After all of that I decided I might just be crazy and that I just might have some issues when I eat certain foods. The pain went away for about 4 months and then about about 3 weeks ago I started to get the pains really bad again. I'm talking roll on the floor, can't talk, and can't think straight pain.

So I finally went to Instacare. They took some blood and they said that they would get back to me if the results came back abnormal. Well that night at about 10:30, the doctor called me and said that I had increased levels of my pancreas and liver. She was pretty concerned which made me super nervous! She said that she wanted to get a ultrasound done first thing in the morning.

I went to the hospital the next morning at 8:00 am. They check out my stomach and everything looked fine until they scanned over my gallbladder. It was pretty much full of stones. At that moment I yelled "Hallelujah I'm not crazy". Right after they saw all of the stones they called my doctor and told her my results. She said that I needed to go the ER due to the elevated blood levels as well as the gallstones and they probably will do surgery.

(in the ER)

Well to make the story a little shorter I was admitted to the hospital and stayed overnight (for the first time in my life) until my pancreas levels came down. It was miserable! I couldn't eat for a full 30 hours, nothing but the IV with the nutrients. I was so hungry that I think I even said that I like processed cheese... GROSS! Anyways But i'm not going to have my gallbladder out until my second trimester......

Yep that's right! We are going to have a BABY! I know it is kind of bad timing with the gallbladder but I wouldn't trade it for anything! We are really excited! I'm about 9 weeks along and this little guy/girl will be due in October! As far as my gallbladder I haven't had any attacks so that is great news. They just want to wait until the second trimester because the risks go down a lot! I was pregnant before my pains came back really bad, but the doctors said that gallbladder pain can be a lot more common during pregnancy.

There will be a lot more posts coming from me i'm sure this year because we are both so excited to turn our family of 2 into a family of 3!

Spooky.....

Usually I don't get into Halloween. I have never enjoyed the holiday full of spiders and zombies. However this year I really enjoyed it! I don't know if it was because we laughed a lot at each other in our costumes, or because we went to a friends party and practically danced the entire night. I think it must have been the outfit cause Drew busted out his moves for most of the night as well.  Either way, it was a blast Saturday night!

(oh yeah, Drew was Kip from Napoleon Dynamite, and I was Nikki Minaj)
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!

A girly craft

I have been so sick of scrounging around in my drawer to find my makeup. Also my drawers are older so they don't open and shut very easy. Anyways I was looking online and I found an idea to keep your makeup organized. I thought it was really cute and pretty easy so i decided to make it! It turned out great.

All you have to do it get a old frame, some spray paint (I chose cherry red because it reminds me of lipstick), and a sheet of metal. After that you staple the metal sheet to your frame (painted or not) then you can glue thin magnets on the back of your makeup and put it on your board. I will hang mine by my mirror for easy access to my face.

Oh and this little holder was a great find! Its a magnetic pencil/marker holder and it has a good magnet built into it... $3.35 at Walmart. Anyways, talk about crafty right? Ok it was pretty easy but hey drew is stoked to have a free drawer and I'm excited to have easy access to my makeup in a magnetic way.

Running

Look at those legs. I wonder how she really got those legs. Cause I want them, and do you really thing that i need to work out to get those? Sure, but lately I have been in a exercise slump. I can't seem to find something that I enjoy in exercise for some reason. I know I would love cycling but I need to save up for that, and right now I'm in desperate need of exercise.

I have a full time job now at Camp Chef and I'm really enjoying it. The only problem is I work Monday- Thursday and for those 40 hours I am sitting. I need some butt kickin', booty trimmin', stomach slimin' work out. So I have decided to start to run again. I just needed to announce it so I get going with it. I used to run and i loved it, oh why did i ever stop?????

Also this weekend I went to the pool with my family and I swam across the pool and back and MAN i was tired! I think I'm going to start swimming laps cause thats super fun and I would love to be in shape for swimming.

Estee... I know that you would be proud.

Costa Rica

Let the recording of our adventure begin.

First let me start with the day one. We had a little delay on our way from Houston to San Jose and we were all nervous that our car rental place wouldn't be open, so rushed to get our bags from luggage pick up. We finally got all of our bags together, Drew was kinda mad cause his wheel on his suitcase was faulty from traveling..... or so we thought. We get to our cute little hotel and jump in the shower. Drew gets out of the shower and opens his bag. He yells to me the bathroom, "What the heck is this," and pulls out a silky floral shirt from his bag. I had no idea and started to look in his bag and yep, Drew got a senoritas bag instead of his! We slept for about 3 hours that night figuring out his bag and it all ended out ok. He got his bag and hopefully the senorita got hers.

The next day we met up with our pals (their flight landed in the morning) and headed on our 3 hours drive to Dominical. This drive went super fast because we were driving through a freaking jungle and it was AMAZING! There were a ton of fruit stands, when we stopped at one I got a huge mango and an even larger avocado. Oh and drew got a coke.... and then another coke.... and then one more. It is true though coke is better down there....
Then we made it! To our destination, Dominical. The most beautiful place in the world. We put our bags away then threw on our swimsuits and jumped in the pool. We enjoyed the sun the rest of the day.

We started the next day bright and early to go get some lessons on surfing. It was a lot of laughs. But hey I did get up and yes I surfed!

After we kinda learned how to surf we went surfing most every day that we were there. Well I didn't go every day... a book on the beach sounded more relaxing. After one of the days that we went surfing we went up to this amazing waterfall. The ocean it really warm, like 79 degrees... so it makes it really hard to cool off. This waterfall was so pretty, it felt so refreshing, and it had a rope swing!!!!

One of the days we went horseback riding! I had never actually been on a horse for more then 5 minutes and i was so excited! The jungle was so pretty and we saw some little wild moneys that were pretty hilarious. We ate at this little house off the side of the trail and had breakfast and on the way back we had some lunch. The food was really good but the place we ended up was even better. We ended up at this huge waterfall! I don't have pictures cause it was so wet but we went swimming once again at a waterfall but this time it was huge!

The last day of the trip we went ziplining! It was super fun, but it rained so hard. I'm talking I have never rain like that in my life. It was a wet and fast ride but i wouldn't want to do it in the sun because it was so fun in the rain.

This was the house we stayed in! There were monkeys and toucans that lived in the trees around our place. It was so weird in the morning to wake up to monkeys instead of dogs or birds. We had papaya trees, starfruit trees, and coconuts growing all around our house so we stoked!

This was the inside downstairs.

Best fruit in the world! Sweet as candy!

Costa Rica was such a fun vacation. I will never forget the memories we made and the fun time we had with our friends!
